went to the temple yesterday
it's sorta like a major family gathering, only in a temple. first pic, taken from a corner of the temple, many people!

apparently the temple which houses my grandparents, aunt and granduncle (mom's side) has this special celebration (???) and many people come to pray and offer food to their ancestors on this day. and there was also free lunch for the devotees.

ok, besides praying, there are many things to do! ^_^
such as having road side icecream. and buying drinks from the vending machine except that this time, we realised that all the vending machines were gone! had had to resort to buying drinks from some made shift stall who was monopolysing everything thing from snacks to candles. But we all had a great time even though there were ashes everywhere, and it was freaking hot.
