starlight road

went swimming with some friends
actually, i was tanning and they were swimming.
yes, the evil bear is lazy
anyway, was quite happily reading my book cos, when we reached there, the sun was blocked by some clouds and it seriuosly, took some time to clear up...
meanwhile, my friends just stupidly dumped their bags on the seats and jumped straight into the pool
you know what?
they actually thought i was a good person, whipping out my book while looking after their bags for them
whoa...now, that's a lot for me to take...
all the goodness...
sheesh...and they say they know me...
oh well, just let them think whatever they wanna think then.
as long as it reflects nicely on me...

oh, i didn't noticed this but one of them actually lived in starlight road
can you imagine it?

it was so weird, having to realise that one of the road nearby my place is called starlight road after all these years living there.
ah, the marvel of learning...

okay, as being the clueless me.
apparently, i was the only one in my family to know that there was a fire in Toa Payoh yesterday morning.
yes, i heard the block number, the floor in which it had happened and the amount of casualties.
but amazingly, it didn't occur to me that it was the block that my cousins n granmom live in.
why? i didn't know which block they were living in. seriously, all i know is how to get there and how to go home from there. it really, really didn't occur to me that it was their block.
then,in the very very late evening, my dad was then informed by my aunt who did morning shift in the hospital about the fire.
before you make any assumptions that none of my family members listens/watch the news during the day.
you are right, none of them do. all workaholics who don't bother about whatever impt happenings unless it has to do with their money
not uncaring but ill-informed.
oh well, cest la vie.
